My 5sp transmission is grinding going in to second(worn synchronizer). Is it worth the time and money to have a shop replace the synchronizer or buy a used trans from a junk yard?
Mine has 175,000 miles on it.

It would be easier just to get a used one(in my opinion),check the classifieds .
