Manual Trans Fluid Capcity

How much trans fluid should be used in the manual sr trans? And is Pennzoil Syncromesh good for it? Thanks in advance

I put about 2.5 qts of trans fluid in mine.

how about you take out the fill plug and fill till it comes out.

i bet you get this answer more then the 2.5 qt answer

well im going to be doing it by myself and im going to be filling it from the shifter hole so id like to get it close to the level its suppose to be. Then i could stick my finger in the hole and see how low it is then i could guess how much extra to add, i dont like spilling a lot of fluid.

the fill plug should be level at 2.5 qts. also, another issue you should be wary of is that trans gear is very thick. you won't get all of it out of the gearbox when you get ready to fill back up, so you might find yourself with extra oil in the box. what i usually do if i don't have access to a pump is to pop the fill plug off and still fill through the shifter. when you start seeing fluid come out of the fill plug, stop.

i believe its alittle more then 2.5. i did mine not too long ago with Redline gl90 and baught 3 bottles. so i have alittle less then half a quart left maybe i was able to drain most of mine out? i find it easier to fill it up at the shifter and let it overflow out of the fill hole.

did you guys do this with the car jacked up from the front?? how will it be leveled??

nah, i put it up on 4 jackstands, and got it where it looked level.
