I have a 90 SOHC KA24E 240sx that I'm going to be taking all the parts off of to put in my 91 DOHC because I'm rebuilding the SOHC and I might as well replace
everything. But this manual swap on the KA24DE is going to be temporary so no big deal.

Ok I got I bought a DOHC Manual Trans off this guy. It has a B&M Shifter plate on top of it. Now do I have to source a B&M Shifter for it to work or will my stock or ebay shifter fit in there somehow and work fine?

Also the master cylinder from the 90 should bolt right in to the 91 chassis right and the sohc slave cylinder to the dohc trans? I already got the clutch pedal assembly and such for it just don't have those two which I hope to use from the SOHC.

Now more complicated
Ok well I have a KA24DE Fidanza Flywheel - will that bolt on to my KA24E? Can I also bolt the stock KA24E flywheel to the KA24DE with the same bolts (as in the ka24e flyhweel with bolts shoved onto the ka24de and torqued down)? They are the same bolt pattern right? Do I need any parts to install behind the flywheel for this to fit or is it a bolt on affair?

Ok last I'm taking the clutch and pressure plate out of the KA24E and am going to put it in my KA24DE because the KA24DE will only be around 160hp to the crank or so (mostly stock). All I need is the pilot bearing for the KA24DE right? Or is there something else I need to install a KA24E clutch and pressure plate onto a KA24DE? The pressure plate has the same bolt pattern right? I think that's what the jgy guy told me when I ordered - he was like I got a KA24DE clutch that should work then he's like o wait the pilot bearing is different lol.

First auto to manual/sohc to dohc swap so bear with me.

Thanks in advance.

Then when I get done my manual conversion of my ka24de I'll be building my ka24e boosted engine so I promise i'll make a sweet build thread here and on my website lol.

I don't know about the shifter plates and such, but I do know that the master cylinder will bolt up to any S13. Get a slave cylinder for whichever year transmission you have.
All KA flywheels are the same. It will bolt up, you don't have to worry. The clutches are the same as well.

Ok sweet - so all I need is a pilot bearing for the sohc clutch to put it in - what about the b&m shifter plate? Are they the same as stock? Or will I need a diff shifter. You know the shiny blue thing bolted to the top of the trans.

I've never seen a 'b&m' shifter plate without the shifter being attached to it.

I would either get an OEM plate then OEM shifter or "C's" type shifter will work on it. Otherwise get a B&M type shifter with the plate included.

All Slave Cylinder's should be the same, as 89-98 5spd transmission is all the same.

Ah, but the slave cylinders ARE indeed different. One has a larger bore than the other. I forget which, though.

real quick - this is the shifter plate I got on the transmission - since I'm using most of the parts off my sohc motor I could replace it from the one off that trans (swappin my sr box onto that bellhousing) - question is do I have to or will any old shifter fit in here?
