Question for you guys cause I don't know diddly about manual transmission's. A friend drives a '99 Eclipse, she's the original owner. She says that recently her shifter takes more force to get it in gear. The clutch feel is the same, it's not grinding or anything, but the stick just takes more force. Is this a common problem? Is there something that needs to be adjusted periodically to solve this? Any help is appreciated as always. Thanks.

With the cooler weather we've recently had, I've noticed the same sort of thing with my S13 - the shifter requires more effort until the transmission warms up. I'm planning to switch out the gear oil for synthetic, which helps out, from what I've read.

Not sure if that helps or not, but just thought I'd have a go.
