Manual Shift Mode

I tried to put the car into manual shift mode , but it just stays on Drive , what should i do to get it to go into manual mode ?

You have to tap it up or down.

If you push the shifter to the left when stopped, the dash indicator should change from "D" to "1". If you are moving it will change to some number between "2" and "6" and the CVT should drop down a gear depending on your speed at the time. For instance, if you at 55 MPH the indicator will change from "6" to "5". Bottom line is that If it does not change from "D" to a number when pushing shifter to the left there is something wrong with the CVT or the manual mode mechanism. Take it to a Nissan dealer, your warranty should cover this.
