I have searched and found nothing similar to my problem. Sorry

1992 Nissan 240sx120km engine 240km chasisEverything stock on the car except 3" straight pipe

clutch Fluid level %70 fullslave cylinder working (according to a mechanic who checked it)no transmission leaks*havnt checked transmission oil

I cant shift into gear when the engine is running. If i force the shifter really hard, it grinds on the transmission.

It feels like im pressing a clutch pedal with no cables hooked on to it.

When at a stop, my the car does not stall while i am in gear while pressing the clutch down at the same time.

Easier to shift forward than downshifting.

guys please i really need your help because i dont want to spend too much money on the car right now, it is christmas time and i need to buy my family some gifts ;(

Thanks for any help

i also had the same problem with an older car of mine, when i took the transmission off one of the springs in the clutch disk had broken in half and the spring was stuck between the flywheel and the outercasing of the transmission, an easy clutch and flywheel change, along with new fluid should have you up and rolling man!

I had this problem today. I did the five speed swap last week. By the time I got home I couldnt shift into any gears. Is your Clutch pedal really stiff at the top. Any play before it engages?? There should be like .5-1 inch of play before it gets stiff. I realised that when I was tightening the lock nut from under the dash it turned the rod that pushes the fluid and fckd the distance up. So I went out with vice grips. got the play to start feeling stiff at about 3/4 of an inch. held the rod with the vice grip and tightend the nut back down. after that its shifting so smoooooth. yea. good luck
