Manual Mode will not engage

Hey guys,

Freaking out here tonight. 11 M37 90k and it will not engage when I move to manual and try to use the paddles. The paddles will work for up and down shifts at speed but does not show the gear numbers when it is in the manual mode.

Anybody seen this? Just replace transmission in my 06 M35 and praying this gearbox is not shot on this 37.

No engine codes have been thrown as a btw!

Sorry Scott. Little unclear. Maybe everyone else is too. So the paddle shifters work at speed. You can feel them shift? But you can't see the gear numbers on your dash as you shift? You may need to be a little more descriptive.

Thanks. If I start off and move the shifter to the left, it will not let engage manual mode. "D" remains displayed but the shifters will work but will not stay in manual mode. At highway speed, moving the shifter to the left does not engage the manual mode. The paddles work but if I try to hold the revs thru the upshifts, it will not allow it as it takes over to gear 5,6 or 7.

If I take an aggressive launch, the transmission is great but at low speeds, it is not smooth at all. jumpy and clunky.
