manual conversion: does year matter?

im trying to figure out if the parts for a 5 spd conversion from a dohc s13 will work in a s14?

the only thing I've found that is really different is the driveshaft for the s14 is longer. Whcih means that if you try to use the s13 5 spd driveshaft that is it not long enough to reach the differential.

Otherwise, the clutch pedal, clutch master cylinder, and transmission all are the same.

I'm putting all my stuff in for my own swap this coming weekend.

the driveshafts do not interchange due to the carrier bearing being in the wrong place.

also, there is a sensor on the top of the s14 transmission bellhousing that the s13 doesnt have.

the driveshaft won't interchange anyway because it is too short

yeah, the s14 trannies have a cutout in the bellhousing for the Crank position sensor.

so then i need a s14 transmission and s14 driveshaft.... but everything else can be s13?
