I need a suggestion....

SR20 with a gt2871r and lots of upgrades...

I'm thinking about getting it tuned at around 25psi

I have a manual boost controller. Is that very safe?

Stock Head Gasket? It wont hold 25 psi on stock HG.Also MBC work fine you just have to watch out for boost spike.

I beg to differ. My buddy Graig is holding 28 psi and is making over 500 whp. His Engine is internally stock, including the head gasket. He just re-torqued the head bolts, and called it a day. It has been this way for over a year now, and it is a purpose built drag-car. Last season he ran a low 10 second 1/4 mile, He has since dropped 700 lbs from the car, as well as a few other mods (nothing engine wise) and is hoping to break into the 9's this season.

thicker gasket will lower your compression a bit but that shouldnt matter

if you wanna run boost that high, id say invest in a good EBC, and tune ****
