So, this afternoon I was pretty bored. I was lookin around on the web and I found a cheap a$$ homemade boost controller. For a total of 6 bux I i am not safely boosting 10psig. It doesn't hesitate, no boost spike nothing! I am actually very surprised with the outcome. Its not the perfect thing ever but hell I saved a few bux. Here is the link to it http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/mbc/mbc.php . Let me know what you think.

No, i dont know of any one else. I was bored and went to the hardware store and built one and like I said, i am pretty impressed. Im not even using it to "control" boost. I took it out for a drive i hit 10 psig consistantly. Then i marked where the threads were and thread locked it at 10psi. If i want to remove it I can. For only $6 you cant go wrong, unless its used carelessly.

i may end up trying that out. i've maxed out my MBC already at about 12psi. during colder temps though, i could easily turn it up to about 15psi. maybe i should try stretching the spring on my current one instead though...

and i don't think it's very shady, cause if you open up a brand name MBC, that's basically exactly what it is. a brand name MBC just comes in a prettier package.

With mine at 10 psi i barely have the threads on, thats why i had to use thread locker. So i would imagine that you could raise it almost to the point where the mbc makes the wastegate obsolete.
