What set up do you have? What turbo, waste gate--are you recirculating the dump from the BOV? Post up some pics--what fuel management are you using? Once you under stand how the BOV and waste gate work you will be able to best determine how/where to route the lines.

I hate being a d!ck about this, but dude, is it to hard for you to use a capital letter or two? Maybe seperate sentences? Maybe use puntuation to show where the sentences end?

This is a tech forum, not a cell phone text chat. Please take the time to do things right after all, you're asking us for help.

The answer to your question is fairly easy.

The Vacuum is usually T'd into the FPR vac line. Take this signal and run it to the BOV. Then take that same signal, or any vac source you can tap into and run it to the input on the manula controller. Run a hose from the output of the controller to the side of the wastegate if its an external. The top stays open. If its an internal, there should only be one vacuum bung to hook up to.

Thanks man. What is fpr? From what i understand u said i take the vac line form the fpr and put it on the bov. Then the other opening on my manual boost controller goes to the bottom of the wastegate and the top stays open. Do i hook my boost gauge to any vac line on my intake manifold.

FPR = Fuel Pressure Regulator

Source the boost gauge is on the fpr line aswell.

Or any vacuum line on the intake manifold. Alot of times the turbo compressor housing will have a vacuum bung on it as well. This can be used for the wastegate/boost controller. If you don't use it, make sure its plugged.

You're getting it just fine man!! Now take soem pics and post them up

Hello,

Boost gage--measures +/- pressure in the manifold--it should be tied into the manifold. Waste gate--If your running say 7 psi--this valve will not let the turbo pressurize beyond 7psi because it bypasses the exhaust straight into the down-pipe. Fuel pressure regulator--does just what its name implies--it should be tied into the intake manifold. BOV-When the throttle plate closes it backs up the pressurized air (could be detrimental to the compressor)--this valve just lets the extra air out. I like to place this line close to the throttle plate.

Sounds like your trying to do open heart surgery and forgot to go to medical school-- would suggest doing some online research or buying a book on turbo charging--Look up the Author Corky Bell he has written allot about turbo charging. Things can get ugly real fast if you miss something important. Due diligence is the key

Corky Bells Maximum Boost is a must read. I read it after I started my boost addiction, I would have saved mucho money and alot of heartache if I had read it first.

I learned a lot reading that book but got confused a lot as well. However, when I read it after my new found knowledge and experience of turbo, it was a lot better. So the point is, even though you have a lot of hands on experience of turbo, theres still lots of things to learn in that book; even though it's meant for "beginners." I still learned a lot before and after I learned how to boost a car.

good book...

for the manual boost controller, one line goes to the wastegate, the other line goes to the nipple on the compressor housing..............this is how my setup is done with the use of an internal wastegate

^ It's probably dirty and getting stuck. Can you/have you ever thought about trying to tear it apart and clean it out? perhaps replace the ball bearing if it has worn out spots on it. They aren't THAT complicated, so there isnt much to go wrong on them.

Funny, I've been using mine since 99 with no problems at all

I just wrote a How To on manual boost controllers for everyone by the way. I'll also add it to the FAQ.

I have the DualStg unit. I love it, its actually perfect for running two maps on the SAFCII and using alcohol injection on in the second map. I can actually lean out the injectors and add in more methonal.

I just didn't want to spend the cash on a electronic one back in the day.
