Hi folks!Ive got a question for the techies:Is it possible to change my Oathy XE with manual Air Conditioning to the climate control used in the LE version, both being 2001 model years? If so, what parts do I need?I have the chance to get parts out of a crashed pathy and was thinking of doing a change over.Is it a straight swap? Thanks for all your help!

I figure I'll bump this post.

Coming from driving 240sx for the last seven years, a lot of us were angry that the Japanese Silvia came with auto climate control. My friend and I looked into putting it in that car. . turns out, we'd need a new ECU . . problem with THAT car is that the ECU would be for the Silvia (SR20DE / T vs KA24DE) so it wouldn't work. We had the actual HVAC control that goes in the dash.Another problem are the sensors. . There should be three levels of them. . one on the top near the windshield (I believe this senses the sunlight as well) . . one in the middle of the dash . . . and one down low.

With all this said. . since both models are offered right here in the US, you should be able to do it. I think it'd be a lot of work, but if you want it bad enough....
