manual 240 steering rack???

is there such thing as a manual steering rack for the s13, or is there a manual steering rack from other cars that will fit?(old school 240z?, 300zx?)

yes there is such thing. i dont know if other nissans use the same rack. but i wouldnt doubt it.

i've been wanting to get a hold of one too, specially since my pump is pretty much shot...and I could appreciate the extra horse or 2....

on a side note, I just read in another thread that the hicas rack has faster turn (whatever that means).

You could possibly use something like an s30 Z steering rack, since they are manual. I believe they mount similar and then it would mainly be an issue of adjusting the tie rods properly.

the hicas rack is quicker, something like 2.7 turns compared to stock 3.4

hate to revive this, but this is exactly the question i have... my pump is leaking like a sive, and i just wanna ditch it, is there a manual rack i can swap, if so. are the s13 and s14 racks the same? (i have an s14), thanx guys
