I have used MANN oil filters in the GTIMK5 and recently found them for use in our cars. The 1008 is the taller filter like in the 4.0 Xterra with same thread etc just longer...
Has anyone used these filters b4?
I just ordered 2, so I`m curious to see them when they get here...

I haven`t found any conclusive hard evidence why these slightly longer filter can not be used in our 1.8 and 2.5 Nissans...

I have the filters now. they appear similar to the purolator base plate. shell appears of good quality. MANN is supposedly a very good filter used by Sabb, VW, Audi, BMW, etc...

if the 1014 is the standard size, then yes the 1008 is longer just like the filters used in the 4.0L V6 Xterra.
