just put the body kit on, and now my turbo project is officially underway...

will a revhard turbo manifold for an s14 fit into an s13? does the revhard mount the turbo on top or below, and are there any benifits to the placement? any advice is greatly appreciated.

the revhard manifold is made for the ka24de not for s14 or s13 so yes its interchangeable. it mounts the turbo on top.

Yes, it will fit both S14 and S13 KA's. You can mount it bottom mount, but good luck finding a turbo that will fit it that way. AS a top mount, you will need to port the manifold some otherwise it won't line up very well. The round ports of the manifold already do not match the square ports of the KA. But the KA has ports that are slightly offset, and the Revhard mani ports are centered between the studs. This puts if off slightly. Using a gasket, you can draw the ports onto the mani with a marker and should give you a template for porting. No need to be overzealous, but with a dremel and/or a drill mounted grinding stone, you should be able to do a decent line of sight porting.

While you are at it, you can grind off the flash castings(the sharp edges created by theseam between the two sides of the casting mold) and smooth out rev-hard's quick attempt at this. Sharp corners are where cracks are most likely to start. Also, you'll want to cut the header to head flange in three places between each port. This will allow for more expansion without bending the manifold to reduce the chances of cracking. And lastly, due to the nature of casting, the tolerances may not be all that good. My replacement mani wouldn't even go over the motor's studs. You will want to make sure this fits and also expand the holes for the studs slightly more to allow for some expansion so it does not sheer the studs off.

depends on the turbo ur using and if ur an auto or 5spd. ::oiron:: on the boards used a revhard with a T3/T04 that wouldnt fit with an auto master brake cylinder but he did a 5spd swap with the master cylinder and it cleared barely. my nsport kit is suppose to be in this week that uses the RH and a TO4 turbo that doesnt have any clearences problems from what i hear. i guy world240sx had the nsport kit on an auto s13

The RevHard manifold is meant for an 'On Center' turbine housing. This centers the turbo on the exhaust flange and gives lots of clearence between the housing and the master cylinder. I didn't find this out untill AFTER I had the turbo and the manifold. I made an offset mountng plate to move the turbo ofer a half inch or so. Don't forget to slot the stud holes on the outside runners. I just slotted mine to match the stock header. No cracks yet as of 9 months.

so will i have to make an offset mounting plate or will everything fit with the turbo center mounted? by the way my car is a 5spd. i plan on using it as a top mount as suggested.

Not that the turbo is mounted on the center of the flange, but that the T04 turbine can come in a tangential entry design or an on-center design. The on-center design has the center of the turbine sitting directly over the center of the entry flange. This will give plenty of clearance to the brake MC. Using a tangential entry housing of a T04 or even the T3 will place the turbine housing closer to the Brake MC and in many cases, to the point it touches it.
