so i'd have to say yesterday has been one of the worst days of my life. to start with i've been running my sr for about a month now and its been running awesome, great gas mileage, power everything. then a few days ago the car started sounding different like i had a really bad exhuast leak, i finally got to check it out today to find the two of the studs off my turbo extension are just gone. they must have broken off cause there's nothing there, the gasket is fried, and the one part the has the stud is missing the nut. has this ever happened to anyone? then yesterday i was driving in two lane highway when some jerk decided to try to fit between me and the car infront of me, he didn't signal or anything he just started to float in. i had to slam on the breaks and eventually he got in barely without hitting me, and then when he did get in he slammed his breaks and i ended up rear ending him. to make matters worst he took off he didn't even stop. i had to fight my hood to get it open to day to find that the top of my intercooler is bent a little, nothing serious though and one of my couplings is jammed into a piece of metal. luckily i'm still holding boost without a problem. my front end is messed up and so are both my fenders, ahhhhh what a day.

Hasn't happened to me personally, but I do hear it's fairly common. Lots of stuff vibrates off. I've used a bunch of split lock washers. Might want to try that if you keep having problems. Take it easy with the speed too man, doesn't just save lives, it saves intercoolers too! Well hopefully the rest of your day or tomorrow'll be better

Seriously that makes for one of the worst days of your life?

Wow, you must be very young or very sheltered.

Dude you have an sr in your car and you let that car get away? I'd be chasing his *** down and give him a good beat down.

I don't blame you for not going after him...unless you blew out the gasket + studs AFTER the accident. I didnt really understand when it happened. Anyway, it sucks i know. I've been hit and run (i was driving my mom's toyota Previa) and this truck slams into me from behind and turns and takes off and I go after him. I floored it and kept beeping for people to watch out. I had just gotten out of the gas station, so I had a full tank ready for action. I caught up with him and kept signaling him to pull the hell over. He pulled over and I called the cops. The cops said it was good that I went after him and he got caught. Bad part is he had no insurance.

Anyway, your SR problems are totally fixable. And yeah people get problems with that all the time. Some people end up just welding things together so they dont have to worry about gaskets anymore but id personally never do that.
