Why would you take off a functional wing, and re-paint a car with custom paint?

:rolleyes

Either way, that is one BADASS 240! I've got both magazines it's featured in and it's an amazing car.

To be honest I think that car looks pretty ugly. The engine and suspension are nice, but that ricer body kit and ricer paint job just make it look goofy.

The thing that bothers me the most about those body kits is how the pieces don't quite fit onto the body in the right way. There are always very obvious lines where the kit fits on the actual body. It is especially obvious on the side skirts usually.

Yeah, and he wants $30K for it. That is too much IMHO. Must be because of the exposure, and publicity.

That is the car that I'm basing my 240 SX on. The wing I want is from the Silvia K S14 from Japan, it looks really nice. I don't like the color though, stands out too much. One thing though, I thought that Bomex kits were really high quality and that they are functional. What have you guys heard.

That car is freaken beautiful, I wish I had either one of the articles done on it. I might have to try to get a back issue.

I'm not big on body kits. For the money, there are WAY WAY WAY more FUNCTIONAL things to be done. But if I was filthy rich I guess I would eventually get to the body, and I love that color.

I don't think that A body kit or a wing is gonna do much of anything for your cars performance, handling, or traction, unless maybe you are doing some SCCA Road Racing or something.

I am sure you can find someone that will try to say they can feel a difference on the street if you want some justification for beating up your wallet. But I'd guess that in reality its about 99.9% for looks.

Looks like he did a 97-98 headlamp grill quarter panel hood conversion, NO?

I think I see the crease in the hood that started in 97, but its a 95

Anyway, MOFO is BAD!

Yeah I do agree that most body kits are for looks, but there are those that improve cooling to the brakes, more air to the intake, more air to the intercooler, hoods to vent engine heat, and so on. Look at the Mitsubishi EVO VI all of the scoops and ducts are functional. Also I agree to use moderation on kits. I used to hate them, especially when they made a car look like a f#%&in insect. But I like a few and for some reason I like this one. But one of my rules is that you can't put on a body kit unless your able to back it up with power.:ylsuper

I feel the same way. This guy at my school has a stock GS eclipse with a blitz style kit like the green eclipse from tf&tf. the guy who told him about it is trying to get me to put one on my car. Hes like "you need a kit, some rims and a big wing and then get your car painted" and i tell him i'll put a kit on when i have the power under the hood. but until then i want my car all go and no show. not all show and no go.

Wow, if that wasn't obvious i don't know what was! :rolleyes

I photoshopped this pic 2 years ago before i had pics of my s13, and i don't feel the need to change it. I'm not advertising that i own a 180sx.

I personally dont like the exterior of that car. Engine is very pimp, im sure.

It funny when I look back and think what was cool at 17 :) custom paint, custom system, funky oddly shaped bodykits, custom this custom that.

Now that Im an old fogie ;), I appreciate that subtle mods that accent your car rather than make stick out like a sore thumb.

That car looks good... but when you go all out like that... your car looks "old" very fast. Nevertheless Im sure it looks much nicer in person and a lot of money has been invested.

Blink i like what you did with the nissan emblem and your name and all, very unique. Im just saying change the year model from 91 to 96 and make it say 180 instead of 240. Then it will prove you know something about the car and that your not just taking random numbers and pics and layering them together :)
