so i took my baby to get smogged
everything was going by fine....the smog tech even complimented me on my baby
till i got the results........i failed my emissions test by 4 f***ing points
so ima need my car...specially for this weekend
and i need to pass smog ASAP
i was wondering if there is anything besides an oil change that i could do
please help dudes.....

go to parts store, get product called "heet", its a water remover for fuel tanks. dump that on top of a quarter tank of gas, drive it 5-10 minutes hard, heat the cat up really good. then pull into smog shop. the burning water remover will put out less emissions, and the hot cat will burn up anything left. should clean it up enough to pass.

Haha! I was just gonna say that! Five bottles of heat and good to go! I did smogs here in nv andthats what I had all the fails do that were close.

Well with your numbers one will be fine. Hopefully. 4 or 5 always works for high numbers. What did you fail on? Nox hc or co? Remember that stuff is designed to clean up water and tarnish and crap. That's one bottle. If one bottle gets used up cleaning the tank than it won't really help your results that much. All it is is denatured alcohol if you got some layen around for some reason.

I would do it after unless you want to use a thicker oil to seal the rings for the test.
