Just to rub it in a little, I drove to go see my daughter today. It's about 120 miles round trip. No cruise control. I would guess I averaged about 70mph. I definatly got on it a couple of times getting on the onramps, so I wasn't babying by anymeans.

Guess what my gas mileage was?

I'll give you a hint. It was somewhere between 29 and 31.

If I really wanted to, I think I could get 35mpg out of this car the way it sits. With a little "creative tuning" I think I could pull off 40. Standalone rules.

Man I love my car...

Yeah I also made a trip to the local track for midnight madness then to my grandmas weekend, round trip was about 120-130 miles, mostly highway at around 80mph. I used just a hair over a 1/4 tank. Not sure how many gallons the tank holds, but I can get around 430-450 miles from a tank. On the other hand if im on the loud pedal goodbye gas mileage.

29-31 is pretty good. i get 40 on a regular basis, and my car runs like crap. seriously, i dont know how it does it. im always really light on the throttle, never give it any more than 25% for any reason. i can get about 500 miles on the 13 glaaons my car takes. by the way, 15 and 7/8 is a lie. ive run mine out and i never get more than 13.5 in it.

One time I ran out of gas cause of a faulty gas gauge. I filled up at the nearest gas station I could push my car to. Now unless the pumps lie (illegal Federal violation), I got almost the full stated amount in the tank.

Im guessing you dont have the skills to top off your tank like I do. It's not recommended in the owners manual though.

Man, I have never seen over 13.3 gallons filled. Maybe Im too scared to take it an INCH below E to find out, lol.

I dont know if we're talking ca18's only, or just in general.

In my ka24e, I usually go about 230 miles before the needle gets either right above, or right on E. I've never ran it until the gas light came on...I've heard that's not good because it allows for debris to get in there?

Plus its been a year since I've driven my car around daily...

Same here, I think that's the most I've ever put in my car...so I guess I can't really estimate my mpg until my light goes on or either I run completely out.

my gas light has only came on one time and the needle was on "E" for a while before the light came on like maybe 30 miles or so. I've never ran outta gas.

The only time I've ever run out of gas was on my r6, and it doesnt have a gas gauge . I remember putting in my warblo fuel pump when my car was on E and I had at least a half gallon to a gallon left in the bottom of the tank. But taking a corner too fast would deffinately leave the inlet of the fuel pump to air.

???WTF???

Dude, what does that pic have anything to do with anything?

I got 15 1/2 gallons in mine once. I'll never do that again. That was scary. That was also how I found out that my gas light "sensor" was bad. It never came on. I've since gotten that fixed...

Yeah. According to the mileage from my car, there is about 2 gallons leftover below the "E" mark. I have heard this before from others as well...
