man i hope i dont get flamed to death

I am about to buy a new engine for my car. My KA is done for... i am not very smart on engines but have plenty of friends with garages and they have done many swaps before.. just not with any JDM engines.

Anyways... im a n00b and ive been doing my best doing research on cars.. engines.. etc. Im guessing the SR20DET is easier to maintain but something inside me is screaming for that RB20DET... is it really that hard to get parts for it or maintain it as much? Does it break down a lot even if properly cared for? I figured that i would find a lot of info jsut coming here and asking questions so it wouldnt be as hard to find "information". The only thing worrying about me is how much heavier is the RB20DET than the SR20? Thats the only thing kinda holding me back at the moment. I got quoted $2300 for the complete motorset shipped and included with that is a FMIC and the R32 radiator... i dont know anything about engine internals and whats best to change for this and that...is that seriously something i would have to worry about in the near future? my goal is 300 HP and thats it. ... i really dont know what else to say. What do you guys think i should do? I figured i would ask the most experienced.. that and ive only asked one other person about this and he just hates SR20's.

And by the way i want to hear how a RB20DET sounds.. have you guys found any sound clips?
