Wood would be the easiest, Subwoofer boxes are made out of MDF, but partical board (cheap) would do just fine

MDF is what u want.. like 1/2" or thicker.. thicker the better.. its not expensive... go to lows or home depo they will have it... dont forget liquid nails and screws also :)

If you have the grey interior..cover it in black..actually looks pretty decent...I have one board across the back but it is connected to the box for the 12 now~

i am planning on mounting it on the actual hatch itself. so when you open the hatch it goes up tith the hatch itself, but when closed it is below your feild of vision.

My personal opinion is just go with MDF for just throwing something together and not worrying about what it looks like but if you want it to look good, do fiberglass. It just takes a bit more time. But hey I have been working on mine for ages now cause I am lazy so what can I say :rolleyes

Either way it should sound fine as long as you make it the proper size for the speakers you are using.:thumbup
