making way for CA18DET

i bought a 88 Nissan pulsar with a (swapped) e15 carb engine.

i need more power. CA18DE/CA18DET are cheap. although parts are getting harder to find, ill bare with that for this cheap engine.

ok time for the laundry list. please help me out guys, ive never swapped nissan engines before.

thats it? and people say it will drop right in right?

Here Is what you need:
GA16 -> CA18DE(T)/SR20DE{T} swap info

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-CA18DE(T) Motor
-CA18DE FWD Transaxle
-Driver side axle
-Passenger side axle
-Crossmember
-All CA18/SR20 Motor mounts
-Front motor mount bracket
-Rear motor mount bracket
-Transaxle mount
- clutch cable (not needed if still using auto)
- throttle cable
- clutch cable bracket (bolts to transaxle)
-SR18DE(T) ECU or (make sure if you're using OBDII or OBDI or use the right ECU)
-CA18DET clutch kit (throw out bearing, clutch disc, pressure plate)
- You probally don't need SE-R Clutch/Throttle cables. But I know you need Motor mounts and F/R mount brackets.
If you want just take some time and go read some of the pages for more Info. On Engine Swaps.

i am obviously new here and im trying to work out this search function... i dont like the search function on forum's...

i actually do NOT have a GA engine... i have a E15... which has not cooresponding parts with the CA.

sigh looks like i have a long laundry list for parts to make this swap work

SE-R stuff? b13 sr20 clutch cable, throttle cable, clutch cable braket, and wiring harness.

finding a FWD CA18 transmission is very difficult... anyone know of anyone selling one?

or what are my other options to make my super slow FWD pulsar a faster FWD pulsar?

it just hit me... why would i have a GA16 engine?

my year model and make NEVER came with a GA16... are you saying that it is an easy to swap in a GA16 engine into the pulsar? if so i might just do that?

As an NX1600 owner I can honestly say don't swap in a GA16 if your looking to aftermarket anything. There isn't any aftermarket for it, and what is there is eBay stuff and crap. If its not your daily, I recommend taking a little extra time and money and getting a CA in there. Your Pulsar will thank you

i would love a CA18DET but i dont know if i can smog it and legally drive it here in CA so

CA18DE... any sellers?
