making KA rev to 8k rpms.... how hard?

So anyway, I suggest everyone read the book Maximum Boost. It's by Corky Bell and explains everything in the possible known Universe having to do with anything.

Nope.

It is a good book with some misleading points mainly due to the age of the book

That would be because it's the page on torque, not the page on work. Do you seriously not know that W=Fd? Have you taken a physics class? That page only explains that work doesn't necessarily need to traverse a distance, such as in the case of torque. This one will explain what work IS:

Though, that page actually gives the full-on proper calculus-enhanced definition of work, I imagine you get the idea.
