Hey guys. After much debate and brainstorming, I've decided to develop my own body kit for '90-93 Q45's. I've done a lot of sketching lately and I'll post up one a few design sketches I've come up with. One of these days, I'll learn how to use photoshop.

I can tell you now though that it won't be garish or "ricy" in the slightest, but classy and stock-like, much like the Impul kit minus the foglights and grill and with a sportier flare I've already talked to a few other 1st gen Q owners and the general conscensus is that stock-like is the best way to go. Kit will be constructed of high-quality fiberglass, polyurethane is out of my league and cost prohibitive. Carbon Kevlar or Carbon Fiber costs more because of the expensive materials and vacuum bagging needed.

When I settle on the design, I'll pull a mold off a pristine bumper and modify it according to my design. Anyone interested? I need a few others to jump in so I can recoup the expenses of making the mould.

I'd definatly be in only after I see the design sketches. I know a guy that openning a new automotive custom shop here that is going to have a polyeurathane injection kit in his shop. If you'd like I can ask him to see if he would be interested in making some eurathane kits with your design. Lemme know! :D

Jeff, that's great. But the reason why I want to do this is so I can fund my own project car. I'm also able to make carbon fiber pieces if anyone's willing to pay the $. Vacuum bagging and composite materials are expensive but it would make one trick Q!! By the way, I've just come up with a rough sketch so I'll scan it later today and post ASAP.

Nope, sorry, don't have a Q anymore. Not very practical either since most Q owners could care less for body add-ons.
