i registered a little while and made a few posts but never really said who i am... im 16 and found a perfect 240 (1991 H/B) a couple months ago, its my first car. i had been wanting one since early jan 03 not really knowing much about thme or cars. all i knew its it looked cool and was cheap, which is really all i cared about. but my parents were reluctant cuz they thought it was a sprts car, so i did some research, gave them the saftey ratings and told them how realible they r and that insurance companies dont classify them as a sports car.(Also finding out the cars potential, but i have no money, to spend on the car alteast, and wut i have is all i need now anyway) so i looked all summer first wanting a coupe, but it was too dam hard to find one in good condition and after a couple months i gave up and just looked for anything i could find, and then i found this one (pictures will be up sometime when i find my digi cam and figure how to pst pics). a lot of u may call it rice but i like it, the exhaust is kinda loud for me but is deep and theres nothing i can do about it anyway, it had an obx intake on it, but it looked so gay under the hood that i put the original back on. lets c now... it has kyb agx's and sportlines, front and rear strut bars, a new clutch, some exhaust that i dont know wut it is (will post a picture) and guy said it had 2.25 pipping, whitleine tc rods, whitleline bushings, and then stereo: pioneer head unit w/ cd player, 12" kicker sub. There is prolly some other stuff i left out as well. it also has soem exterior "mods" (cant tihnk of wut else to call em) that u'll c in pics eventually.

also, this would be my first car and i still dont know much about cars in general but i have been on this site atleast a couple hours a day the last few months and am trying to learn. and trying to get a job where i can learn more about cars. wut else... RWD for a first car is uhhh interesting u could say (alrdy learned RWD and rain don't mix... atleast for a beginner like me). oh yeah, the total price for the car with all the metioned above (and new paint, light metallic blue) was 4100 which i thought was a steal... i have a rich aunt who paid for half...

i guess i got a 240 at the wrong time especailly for my age and all... but i didn't know any better and now i guess im "paying" for it (it seems like everyone i pull up to thinks my car is hecka fast... and when i was knew to shifting and i accidently peeled out at a stop ppl thought i was some stupid kid... but i guess i am sometimes....:pface .

well thats all for now, sorry for the horrendously long post and thx for reading if u read it all, pics will be up in a week, latest...

Welcome to the wonderful world of Nico. You'll learn a lot and come to love the 240. I've come to love my 240 and new I had to buy the car as soon as I test drove it because I loved it so much. There are some things I wish were different, but slowly working on, ie more power.

good job. mine came with agx and springs too, so im equally spoiled. dont worry bout the rain, it only gets better. i had a mishap the first day i had mine involving old tires, no abs, rain, and my friends bumper. not too much damage luckily. learn the love the suspension man, its the best thing on the car.-Enzoand before i forget, take it to the track or autox. track meaing with curves. you'll love the car that much more.

<cough coupes are better cough> :D

thx enzo (and the rest of u too), one of these days i will have to go to the "track(s)", prolly when i become more familiar wit the car..... also another time with the RWD, was when i was making a u turn and instead of going into the far right lane (3 lanes over) i ended up in the lane closet to the median... scary but definitly exhilerating (hey, i drove my mom's 626 b4 this, so its a "tad" different... to say the least...)

^welcome to the board. I wish I had founda nice hatch like yours when I was looking for one. I wanted a 91-93 but had to settle for my '89. I really like it now that I have a rebuilt KA24E in it.

aight got some pics, if u click on the image it will tell u the date taken, so these werent taken by me but the previous owner. the mesh back wheels arent on there now (stock alloys r on), he must of taken them off b4 i bought it. as u can see a lot of the lights are changed but i think it looks cool, the spoiler is on there now tho, even tho its not on in some of the pics. i will get a closer-up of the muffler so someone can maybe help me identify it. Also the one "drawback" of the car might be that is has 212k miles on it, had 210 when i bought it, but it still runs strong so i guess its all good.

yeah it seems like when people see my car(same as yours) they either think its real fast or realy slow:confused: ...

holy sh1t dude, you payed 4100 for a s13 that had 210,000 miles on it??thats sounds alittle high to me, but i guess technicaly you only paid like 2000 for it, since your aunt payed half;)

btw theres no image or anything to click on?

dude! my bad... i kept goin on and forgot to put the link :doh .my 240 enjoy yeah i know what ur saying about the miles.... its a lot, but all i need it to do is last another 2 years..... hopefully by then i can afford a swap or another KA and a s/c or turbo. if it blows, well then im screwed and its back to riding the bus almost 2 hours a day... also it was a bit more than 2000, cuz my dad HAD to put it in perfect condition, so anything, any little freakin thing, is fixed... except my engine light stays on forever.

howdy there neighbor. yes welcome to nico. if it makes your parents feel any better, a guy in a maxim magazine fell asleep at the wheel of his fastback and fell off a 100 foot cliff and crawled out of his car with both legs broken. Better broken legs than dead eh? Yeah I've been on the hunt in local yards for the elusive vlsd only to find that the one yard where i found it for 100 bucks (yes the entire pumpkin) got smashed before i got there. I'll let ya know if I happen to find 2 more hee hee hee!!!

Welcome to the Nico board. I picked up my 89 hatch back in January, and even though it's auto with 209k miles it still drives like a dream. Especially on corners. Wouldn't trade these cars for anything.
