Yeah, nd_aussie was trying to graft on off of another car, and it turned out terribly, I'm guessing, since he just kinda dropped the subject.

ever thought of using tinted plexi-glass or black plexi-glass? if you made a rough mold you could heat it enough to bend it to fit your needs and it should keep its shape if done right. there are also tons of different epoxy you could use to bond on mounting places. even just 3m tape mabey?

as far as molding the roof spoiler just take the measurements from your rear glass, figure out how you want it made and make it fit on a cheap plywood temp-let or something. i don't suppose 3m tape would be extremely damaging to your rear glass. less permanent than epoxy of course. just a thought.

best way to find out is ask or look them up. you might just wanna ask him if you see him, him or anyone with the same maxima. just ask if you can measure the width of the rear window. if you ask nicely and they are cool, they probably will let you measure it or at least talk to you about it. i would be surprised if they fit seeing as the slope of the rear glass looks different to me. i'm also not sure of the width. remember you want to have a fin that complements the shape of the car, if the maxima's rear window is steeper, than the angle on the fin will be greater. so it will stick way up on the Z. :gotme

worth looking into tho! if its similar you could just try and trim the maxima one. also look at some similarly shaped cars and see what they've got going on for roof spoilers.

i was trying to comtemplate on which rear glass was the most similar to ours. the only one that really stuck with me is a 3000gt but they have nothing for aftermarket support. I may just hit up yahooauctions japan alot and see if one pops up for a fairlady !!

hmm... what about some of the supras? I'm sure you could order one. I'm kinda thinking ill try the plexiglass idea just to see what comes out of it. if its ugly i wont use it, if its nice hey i got out on the cheap! i do like the way the spoilers look. best of luck on the auctions and if i see something with a similar profile & dimensions for the rear glass, ill post it up for sure.

what about those 90's bmw hatchback things? anything there for those? possibly? from memory the dimensions and angle on back aren't thaaaat different could be very wrong tho.

i could see mk4 supra's working very well!!! shaving a little off so its slim line to the car! And the hatches on the bmw's are way skinnier than the z32's it may have the same slope but the length would be wayyy off!!!
I am on a web site now showing the dimensions of rear glass cars. The supra's and 300zx's are not off by much at all it may work!!!!! *ebay time ;D*
