After a while the crome exhaust starts to dull. Any ideas on polishers or spray that will shine it right up?

Hey, welcome to Nicoclub!

I'm particular to Mothers and Meguiars products, but some of the guys on here swear by Zaino detailing products. I think that any chrome polish should to the trick. I also use a cheap toilet brush (New/not used on a toilet) with a thin cloth wrapped around it to clean the inside of the exhaust tips. It gets those hard to reach areas.

Good luck cleaning your beast and tell everyone in Chi-town "hello".

Welcome to Nicoclub by the way... post some pics when you get her all cleaned up!

I'd try just cleaning it first. I've never had to use a metal polish on my exhaust tips.

You could always try and "add" to the look of your exhaust...

You know, that pic has been bothering me, but not for the obvious. It reminds me of something that I haven't been able to figure out, until now. 2 words: Dr. Seuss

Sneak,

I like the signature, but the two sides are balanced. Any chance you can apply a difference/exclusion, then desaturate the left side to keep the feel similar between the two sides?

I'm still playing with it. I wanted both sides different, as I like both effects. The right shows up too bright, and doesn't show enough of the effect, while the left seems dull by comparison but with lots of effect. When did Sigs become such hard work? lol

I'm tired of working on it today, but it will be different tomorrow.

Why did you have to post that pic? Every time I see that car now I want to punch babies (figuratively speaking...I would never do such a thing). Stop with this car.

Anyway. Just try and wash them when you wash your car. If that doesn't work you can take an old tooth brush or something. If that doesn't work, steel wool.

Yes I use the little steel wool pads, clean and toss. Takes all the nasty black exhaust soot off the end of the exhaust tips.

So funny, Dr. Suess!!!

Anyway, I know if you have any tar or road debris on the exhaust, you can use a bit of gas on a cloth, comes off no problem...

If you really want them shiny clean them off with a lil gas and steel wool....then polish up using some Never Dull gauze...that stuff is great for polishing metals!

3m chrome polish- cheap and effective. Most silver polish will work, too.

Zaino don't make polish for chrome....it would be blinding when the Zaino brothers got done with it. Too dangerous for civilians....

I just picked up some Mothers for my wheels and exhaust tips. While I was there I got some clay and wax too! Sunday's gonna be a good day...
