three things that will cause an engine not to run. Spark, fuel, and timing. if you have spark and fuel, it must be timing.
when you reinstall your cas make sure cylinder one (one all the way in the front) is at top dead center of the compression stroke. Easiest way to do that is plug in your handy compression tester, stick a rachet on your crank bolt, and turn it untill you see the compression st art to rise. When it starts to rise, disconnect the compression tester and lightly guide a long screw driver into the whole. one the screw driver reaches the upper most piont, you know you are at TDC. then you can reinstall the cas so that the little dot is aligned with the... whatever you want to call it .. "mating mark" as the FSM calls it.
When i first got my engine it would not start. i had to reinstall the cas, this is the way i did it. if it is not the correct way, i apologize, but mine started after i did it like this.
it has to be timing..
