Major problems.... 08' Altima coupe

Went out to my car today to find it making a loud ticking noise. Went to unlock the car using the button on the handle and it wouldn't open. I see three dash lights, one of them being the battery light flashing. Finally the car unlocks after several attempts, i get in still hear the clicking, try to turn the car on, nothing. Then the clicking just stopped. Then the interior lights go on for 15 or seconds then turn off, then repeat...

So I am hoping this has something to do with the battery being dead, but it also seems like it might be something major.

Any ideas? AAA is coming, so we will try to jump start, and last resort is to take it to a Nissan dealership to get serviced...

your dealer should cover it.. if they don't, make a big fuss and make them give you a new car
