okay I have a 1993 240 SX.I have had the car since new. I am having a issue with Alternater not charging the battery. The battery is new and I have replaced the Alternater with a new one. When I saw the battery was still not charging I went back to the shop and had them test the old Alt just to find out it was good all along. The Alt relay 75v appears to be fine.Is this possibly a ignition switch problem? I have had issues with it in the past. I would hate to go buy a new one and that wasan't the problem and then of course I coudn't return it. Thanks for any assistance

also forgot to note this as well. When I turned off the key switch for the Ignition, the check Engine,Brake and belt lights actually come on. I have to turn the key back and forth several times to make them turn off. This just started happening when the other problem arose. I think maybe there connected.

I had 1 loose wire and that would not let my alt. charge my batt. I reconnected it no problems after that. Check all connections. I heard a starter starting to go will also drain your batt. Do you have a trunk relocation kit? I Had 1 and it killed a optima batt in 4 months, switched to a mx-5 batt. and fixed all problems.

If you have replaced the Barttery and the Altinator and you know you have problems with the Keyswitch then I would replace the Keyswitch.

See if you can get one from a junkyard.
