luckily this is not my DD and the 96 altima was sitting in my yard waiting until i could repair it to sellable condition.

so far it has become more like a mechanics training course car lol but its where i dump my extra cash until i can sell it I had replaced the auto transmission and things were looking good on the mechanical side all was left was cosmetics.........until

my 92 240 s13 had an injector go out. so I used one from the altima until the other came in. Apparently for the 3 days i didnt cover up the injector hole. i mean i put the injector holder over it and the hood was closed. in those three days it snowed. so on the 3rd day i tried to start it up. it turned about 1/8 of a crank and stopped. I knew from the sound it was like something was not spinning freely, not a loose connection/starter or etc.

so i manually turned the crank with a ratchet and tried to start it. it turned over but every revolution it was like it had a hard time on a particular stroke.so i patted the gas a little while turning and it reluctantly, started... but omg it was burning oil like crazy. so i stop, scratch my head, and then just to see i look in the cylinders from the s/p hole. I see that there is liquid on top of the cylinders, so i think ok its gas. so i pull the fuse and start again. oddly enough after running it for 30 sec it never stalled of gas. so i look again and determine and see on the plugs that its oil.

since the car has been in my yard for so long and me just driving it occationally, and the fact that its not going to run. i figure what tha heck, i'll take the head off to see what i see. on my journey so far lol ive seen that the intake manifold plenum thing behind the thrtle bdy has a puddle of oil in it.

so im open for ideas, tips, questions, warnings, or w/e

currenly ive got off the exhaust & intake and everything b4 that. and about to be off with the head.

my ideas of problems are:moisture in the air caused cylinder walls to rust. valves are sticking

lengthy post huh? sry
