So im running an rb20 swap with r32 crossmember. Im also running bmw E30 mounts which are considerably smaller than the stock ka mounts in an effort to lower the engine a bit which is prolly adding to the problem.

I have some serious sway bar oil pan interference, im not talking like "oh its 1/8" away". No its pretty much another mount point. I havent been able to find anyone who sells spacer kits. Any other solutions? It doesnt look like theres enough room to put washers in there.

Other than being really annoying, can i drive it like that? I figure the sway bar will just make its own clearance eventually .

Syko Performance has a sway bar spacer in their kits. I bought the full kit so I'm not sure if they sell seperately. But, it doesnt hurt to ask.

heh enough bouncing around on the sway bar and it will clearance itself right thru the oil pan leaving you with a dry sump and a boat anchor in your engine bay.

Why are you running lower profile mounts? There's some reasoning behind the mount thickness whether it be with a stock or aftermarket kit. Put some thicker isolators on there to help clear the sway bar. Don't mess around with some jimmy-rigged spacers. It will only make the isolators more prone to failure.

He's using the R32 crossmember. Unfortunately with that crossmember even with the stock R32 engine mounts he'll have sway bay clearance issues.

Stick with the R32 crossmember, use the R32 engine mounts and use Syko sway bar spacers....in this case its probably your best solution.

Damn. I guess I went with the 'Ghetto-FAB' solution.. I just stacked 2 fender-washers and 'massaged' the oil-pan in about 1-2mm. I guess I could have made a set of spacers out of some bar-stock.. didn't think about it!

But that was with the car in the air, with the suspension loaded it cleared fine lol!

Hows this for Jimmy-rigged? Had my machinist make me a pair of these. Fitment is damn near perfect. The arm that goes from the sway bar to the control arm isn't perfectly vertical anymore. Might lead to some premature bushing wear. Oh well thats life owning an RB in an S-chasis i guess.

Thats almost too much clearance lol.

If there's demand, and if i get approval, Ill sell these in fabricators market for a competitive price.

This always baffled me. I run the r32 member with the nismo mounts, which look the same as stock, and I have as much clearance as ST240's with spacers.

PLEASE sell these at a reasonable price! I think Skyo sells theirs for $60 or $80. I can't remember which.

My sway bar comes in contact with my oil pan. I can see the marks on it. Parked, I can slide a zip-tie in between them, but who knows what goes on when driving and suspension travel.

There isn't a dent or un-even surfaces where it contacts the oil pan, but I don't want it to contact it at all. I can just see where it has rubbed a little paint off and rubbed through grime/oil.

One company quoted me 65 USD plus shipping. Another quoted me a whopping 145 USD PLUS SHIPPING (#$%^#!!!!) for what looked to me to be a somewhat inferior product. I think i could do 65 shipped but thats in no way official yet. I haven't figured all the details out yet. Hardware would be included too.

Syko's sway bar spacers are $60, I used them with my setup, r33 crossmember and stock rb25 mounts. Mine was pretty much like NeeJay's just rubbing a little bit, but you never know over time. I put the spacers on and it clears beautifully.

Thats right. Sykos price is pretty good at $65 (what syko told me) + shipping.

Thats a really low price and thus, it doesn't really make sense for me to put these into production.

I also haven't tested these on the road yet.

I can run off a bunch of them if there is still interest. I could do $70 CAD (~$66 USD now) shipped.

I have the Syko swaybar spacers AND tried putting on my TANABE sway bar and it STILL hits the oil pan. Only the stock sway bar fits. Anyone else had this problem?

email them: [email protected]

They don't have a way to purchase the parts online. I'm sure you can email them, and then get a phone number to place an order.

Hey if you don't mind can you send me the cnc CAD file your machinist used? I have a CNC machine in my garage. Just too lazy to make a CAD file.

Reporting back to say that the Syko spacers don't go too well with a ST sway bar. Due to the D-bracket needing a flat surface. The Syko spacers are meant to be used with the stock sway bar D-bracket (un-even).

There isn't enough of the stud's threads showing since you have to use a few washers.

I'm going to have to get the Daft Innovations sway bar spacers. They are like ST240's spacers and allow for the spacer to be mounted like stock, then you can use regular bolts to bolt the D-bracket up.

ST240: Anyway to get these for $66 shipped with the bolts/washers too?

Edit: Ok, if im gonna do this, how many of you want one FOR SURE? send me an email at [email protected] . Going to need at least 3 people wanthing them to keep them at that price.
