Ok so i just swapped trannys got that done at a shop and i just installed the crank sensor at the bottom of the engine, i didnt see any o ring for the crank sensor im not sure if it needs one the one i took out didnt have one.

well it doesnt seem to drip oil unless the engine is hot or the engine is running but the whole undercarriage is covered in oil and there is a steady drip when its running.

it seems to be coming from the area of driver side injectors but i cant pinpoint it because there is oil everywhere all the way down half the cat and its even dripping on the exhaust and thats how i noticed it because i can smell burning oil after i drive.

i included some pics if it helps, please let me know what you guys think thanks so much!

I would top the oil off and use the oil dye and a black light. I used it to find my trans leak before. Works awesome.

Most auto parts stores sell the dye and rent the light.

Replaced the transmission and crank sensor...Seems to be pretty straight forward to me. Take it back to the shop!

I would guess it is leaking from the valve cover that is the most common top end oil leak. I bet the shop pulled your valve covers to make it easier to get to the bolts on the top of the transmission where it bolts to the engine (I would have).

It is pretty easy to get that gasket folded over but it is also pretty easy to take the valve cover off and get it fixed.

One of the times I had my Hemi Rams top end apart I had a similar oil leak and it was the valve cover gasket had folded over slightly.

I was looking at the pictures and saw that in the last picture and was wondering if you would have got it by the end of the thread. Congrats, those can make a serious mess.

When I was 20 I bought a 1991 2 door Pontiac Sunbird for $100 with a blown head gasket. I worked on if for about 2 weeks sinking about $250 more into it and had a great running car. The AC didn't work and come May when temp got into 100's I took it to a shop to have the AC charged. After they charged the AC it was leaking oil. I took it back and asked if they could take a look at it for me convinced it was something they had done.

Turned out I had changed the oil right before taking it in and did not get the oil filter on tight enough so it was leaking from the filter. The jerk behind the counter laughed and told me "I guess it just needed a man to tighten it up" without missing a beat I asked him " well were you able to find someone?"

LOL

Isn't if funny when the oil leak is something so amazingly simple!

LOL

Not the first time I've heard someone not have the oil dipstick in all the way.

Never hear of people having oil leaks on their G's yet.
