I was wondering if anyone might know the answer to my question. I have a ka24de and it idles like crap. When i first start up the car, it was rocking a bit. I thought it needed a tune up at first. So i drove it home and the check engine light went on. NOTE: when i drove it home, i did not do a tune up yet. When i immediately got home, I had to do a tuneup. I did the spark plugs, cap and rotor, wire, and air filter. I also did a flush on the motor, but i haven't done a flush for the radiator. I also did a recent clutch job on it. Now when i drive it the RPM jumps up and down from 450 to 1500. Sometimes it would die on me. Does anyone have a clue what it could be?

Either the AIV or the IACV. Do a search for both or 'idle problem' etc to find your answers.

Check engine light is on; did you check the ECU for codes?

Sounds like a sensor may have gone south on you.
