Major Electrical Issues

this is an on going problem that keeps coming back. Oh i have a 90 with a redtop. Well the original alternator on the car died, so i looked on here and found out i could use a ka24de alt. Which i am useing now. Well not so much more now cause my ar is dead. Its like the battery is not getting no charge from the alt at all. Because when i am driving my car boggs down and dies and doesnt start. This is the second alt i have put on here. What could be wrong. All the wiring looks in good shape and i dotn have any loose grounds. Do you think it is neccessary to get a new lower engine harness. If so where can i get one from. I at a lost here cause i have tried everything but to take it to a mechanic, which would charge out the butt for some electrical problem. If anyone know any solutions please tell. I dont think i can live without my car!
