What types of fluids do you guys/gals use?

I'm going to be driving my old I30 (now my Moms) from time to time and I'd like to improve on her maintenance habits or lack there of.

I've already started with 5w-30 M1 synthetic oil.

But I want to do the same with the tranny fluid, coolant, p/s fluid, and brake fluid. I want to use the best for my money.

It's a 99 I30 Limited with about 84k on the odometer. Is there any known problems about these cars that I should know about and take care of?

If any of you own or have owned an I30...or Maxima (95-99), please let me know what types of fluids you all used and what worked best for you.Thanks in advance!

You should ask Jeff. He has a 2000 I30.

I take her to the dealership for all fluid exchanges. It cost a bit more, but whoever buys the car will know exactly who did what to the car.

Hopefully, it will help with the resale value as well.

I think they use Quaker State motor oil, with an additive. I am not sure what they use for tranny fluid.

I use Mobile 1 in Layla and Amsoil in Lola. I try to spread the love. I happen to be an Amsoil dealer (like it means something).
