Hi all,

New to this forum and I've had my 2002 Q for over a year now. I just took it in for 60k maintenance. A couple months after getting the maintenance done, I get an maintenance warning on my screen for oil change upon start up. Apparently they turned this feature on when they did the maintenance.

Is there any way to turn the warning off without having to take it back into the dealership? Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Did you also change your oil? Or were you not yet due?

Hello,Btown, I am glad that helped. Mannix, thanks to you, I am now using Mobil 1 0W-40. I had been using 0W-30 since I owned my M. Really enjoyed BITOG as well. Darn educational.Cheers,ML

Thanks again ML!

Steve -- The warning went off at 3,750 miles (and 2 months) from the last change, which I think is too soon considering I am using synthetic oil. I was planning on changing it at 5,000 or in another month or so. Basically, that is the oil change schedule I have had for my Q for the last year or so. Does sound about right to you?

Maxnix - Done. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for all the help guys! This is an awesome forum. Glad I found it.
