Main panel, climate, sound system bonked out

Hi all. Hoping someone will be able to give me 2 cents.

In my 08 G35 this morning, the main unit just sorta of crapped out. I turned the car on, and it got stuck on the Navigation warning screen. I hit enter, and nada. Then the whole thing just appeared stuck. It eventually went to the status screen, saying the climate control system was off (and all other things were off - radio, navi, etc) but it wouldn't do anything when I tried to turn any item on.

I turned the car off, then re-started it only to go back to the same status page. It just seems stuck.

Anyone else have this issue? Is there way to re-boot the system?

I'd try a few things...

First, try to get to the service menu. Hold the setting button down while you turn the volume knob. The Audio unit has to be off. From there, you can check various systems. Next, try to disconnect the battery (negative) and pump the brakes a few times. Reconnect the battery...this should reset the ECU.

As a follow up- apparently my car needed some alone time. I got into the car after work, started it, and everything was back to normal.
