do you have an RB? comment seems to have no basis to me. just more internet hearsay.. he also thinks youll gain oil pressure by overfilling the sump...

the RBs are a different engine, they have different parts, if you are replacing your HLA's for solids, then it may be worth looking into but I would certainly be gaining professional advice as to the new sizing.

This 'drain' back issue in the CA is caused by blockage of the crankcase to intake cam cover breather connection, which is there to equalise the pressures between the head and crnak case. I would be inspecting that first off if you are having 'draining' issues.

withstup: Just because the RB has that problem, doesn't mean the CA will. It's possible that it will, but I wouldn't look there first.

Also, as, he said, you need to look at the tube that runs from the back of the intake side valve cover, to the top of the oil filter mount. That tube is infamous for crusting up with nastiness and causing the problem you're complaining of. The reason being that if it's gunked up, the crankcase gasses don't have any way to get up to the head except through the oil drain passage, which can appear to be the same problem as the RB, but is caused by something totally different.
