So I have a 2010 Rogue SL AWD that on Tuesday morning started smoking from under the hood and lost all power.
The insurance company took a look and let me know that the main engine harness cover had been rubbing against the lower batter tray over a period of time. This rubbing cut through the cover, eventually exposing the wires. The exposed wires ended up contacting the lower battery tray which caused some large electrical damage.
Has anyone had this happen to their Rogue? What was the result because this isn't covered by insurance and I'm concerned Nissan and the dealership may not take ownership for the issue.
