Hi,

I am designing some parts for the CA18 and one of the members has shipped me a turbo block. The turbo block has the girdle that bolts onto the main caps.

My question is whether the main caps in the NA block have the same bolt pad height as the those in the turbo engine (without the girdle in place, of course)? I have a measurement of 52mm from the plane of the oil pan rail to the plane of the bolt pad for the turbo engine.

Note that this measurement does not include the depth of the block register if you are looking at a loose cap.

It is important to ask because on some Nissan engines the caps used with and without girdles are the same (SR20 for example) while on others they are different (KA24 series).

Thanks!

Kevin

AFAIK, the main caps are the same, Nissan just added the girdle to the JDM and EDM blocks and put longer bolts in it.
