so i just swaped in a fresh rebuilt sr20det and i have a big problem to get it to crank. It wont turn over, i can hear the starter trying to turn over but i think when i torqued the main bearings they were to tight. Heres the question.;; I found that you tourque the main bearings to 28 ft/lbs then to 55-61 ft/lbs, is that rite??

Yeah, that's right. It's a whole procedure where you're supposed to stretch the bolts. Torque them to 28, then tighten a certain degree, then completely loosen the bolts, then retorque. Something along those lines.

Can you turn the engine over by hand? Does it feel like it's getting caught up on something?Hows your battery?Try cranking it without the spark plugs in?
