Well gang.. I took her out on the road today... had a little break in the weather.. got up to temp... bleed cooling system.. still have to bleed the clutch a bit more (engages like an inch off the floor)... the clutch is VERRRY grabby (new clutch plate ... an OGURA Super Single 409)... flywheel rings when pedal in (light weight flywheel too... came with set)... turbo spools nicely.. bit loud with just the open header, but the neighbors are nice about it.... I finally got some better lighting to snap a few pics..[IMG][/IMG]

and of course ... Sportin the NICO Banner.... [IMG][/IMG]

bit better coloring this time...lot less orange..

Funny...lol.. Points for the GT being a Vert too?? The wife drives the Stang... I only get to play with it every now and then...lol... You should have heard the convincing it took to get her to NOT buy a Beetle Vert (New Model).... all she had to do was drive the Stang...lol (plus I just couldn't see myself in a Beetle... trust me I pulled out all the stops)

OK everyone .. a little help here.. is there a freakin trick to bleeding this clutch?.. yes I already took out the little bend and went straight from the hardline into the clutch line and into slave... i have Nismo clutch line... new master cylinder... did not replace slave though... I have Ogura 409 super single w/new clutch disc and previous flywheel (in good shape tho)... but clutch is releasing almost right off the floor.. it is almost staying engaged even with clutch pedal all the way down... meaning if in 1st gear and clutch in car will hold slightly if on hill... any tricks anyone?

so you eliminated the little block between the hard line and soft line...

Should just be a straight bleed then. Keep working at it and you'll get that last bubble out. Be sure not to let the reservoir go down to far while your working on it. Sometimes it just takes a lot longer than you expect.

You sure you have the clutch fork installed correctly? If you just can't get it to bleed out correctly, you might have something funny with the fork or those little bits in there.

Well gang, Got the clutch issue figured out... seems I had the clutch bled ok, but the shaft attached to pedal assembly that goes into clutch MC wasn't turned in enough (only was using half the pedal travel)... screwed in out and poof.. clutch works great... I did Bart's little wire splice and poof the top goes down.... easy at pie (once i was able to see the color of the wires.. they fade over time.. go figure)... picked up the rear rotors... and have to locate the fronts so I can swap to 5 lug... just doing 240 rotors for now..

If that was the only issue you had with the whole swap.. you did VERY well!

I wish Eikon...lol... I still have a few vacumn leaks (sputters at about 3500 rpm under load). I'm sure I have to drain the tank of the crappy gas... had a small coolant leak but was just the lower neck on block..(tightened the 3 bolts a bit more... done)... I have to say.. Yuri did an awesome job on the wiring harness... only mod needed was for the top.. was gonna start the splice for the reverse lights..and thought I would check...Yuri already did it.. one more item checked off.. got some rear rotors for the 5 lug swap.. have to order some front rotors... staying with stock 240 set-up for now... gonna hit it some this weekend see what I can get checked off the list... downpipe comes Monday (pics to come).. hopefully exhaust will get done next week (going straight pipe).. hoping to put up a sound byte for everyone.. will post this weekend..
