I am going to purchase one but am unsure on the capacity of the one I should buy, or the inlet outlet size, anyone have experience with these?

yep, i use the 3/8 ports. the hose is ~11/32, so it is overstretched a tad. Haven't had any leakage issues though in 11+ cumulative service years (across the Q's).

Great! thanks for the info, any idea what type of hose to use? does it need to be special for the trans fluid?

to be more precise i should have said the factory hose is ~11/32. I put the factory hose on one end and used bulk between the filter outlet and the cooler. you can use bulk power steering hose--suggest using nitrile, and NOT the epdm rated hose.

Ok cool, would the filter with the 5/16 ends be to small you think?

the 5/16 ends are smaller than the existing hose and would be prone to leak.

I use 3/8" on my Pathfinder. I am using 3/8" hydraulic hoses for both ends instead of the small stock hose. They're inexpensive, just use new 3/8" hoses for both ends. Use new hose clamps as well.
