Has anyone installed a Magnaflow muffler on their M45, 2003 or 2004? I'm thinking of getting one, just wondered how it sounds. Also has anyone hardwire their Radar to their cars. I did it for my wife's G35 but was wondering if there is a DIY for our car?

I had my guys at American down here in Peoria hardwire an passport 8500 in my m... it only took like a half hour and the parts were $50, I'm sure the V1 would be similar. We just tapped power from the rear view mirror.

that's what I was going to try. Do you remember which wire? I guess I can try to figure this out but if you remember this will probably save me about 30 minutes of tapping into wires..

Information on the wires in the mirror (for the 2006 model year) is in this thread: zerothread/206115. If it is not the same in your 2003, I can search the Service Manual for the info ... let me know!

Did you install the MagnaFlow on your M45? How did it turn out?

I had a magnaflow custom exhaust installed on my 03 M45, a piece at a time, as I didn't know what to expect. Replaced the rear 2in2 with a Magnaflow 2in2, and then replaced the 2 Mufflers that sit before the rear axle. I like it a lot. It's not loud (which is what I wanted: not loud), but has a distinct deep grumble below 3000 rpm. High rpm noise is almost nothing over stock. Very nice, I am happy with it. Throttle response has been more quick. Cost me about $650, including the mufflers. Quite a bargain, and the guy who installed it did an awesome quality job.

I tapped mine into the fuse panel just behind were your left foot rest. Running the wire up was no problem.

Hi! I am in Melbourne too. Who did the work of installing the Magnaflows. Is there any interior resonance issues with the exhaust setup?

Being studying the Magnaflow, Spin Tech versus two side by side Flowmaster Hushpower II.

no way loli didnt realize there are so many of us in melbourne

i'd go with borla or magnaflow, spintech looks good on paper and whatnot, but it's actually bull****, the only reason its quite because it's restrictive.

i m planning on trying to wire the V1 myself next week sometimewish me luck

Hi! I hardwired my RX65 by lifting the center panel where the controls are and wired it through to the aux lighter socket in the center console, grounded and tapped into the power wire.

Only about 6-7 inches of cable show and the RX65 is about 1/2 inch above the middle of the dash. Can't be seen from the rear.
