Kinda sad no one answered his question in the past year . Maybe the OP bought it & will have some input.
In any case, I think the reason most people don't do it is because for the cost of a new JWT ECU + MAFT-PRO, you can spend another 100-200 and get a full standalone. If you can get a used JWT ECU, you can get a used AEM EMS as well.
If you want to go MAP, might as well go full standalone - even w/ the MAFT-PRO you are going to need to "translate" the map signal to a maf signal, which will also be less accurate than an ecu that can read a map signal from the beginning.
You'll obviously need to spend more money tuning the EMS if you don't know how (and I don't blame you, the EMS allows you to do so much stuff it can get very confusing), but you are going to want to tune the JWT setup eventually as well.
In the end, it's going to cost the same amount of money one way or another.
