I pretty much finished up the rb25 swap into my 95 and it will not run with the maf plugged in. Idles fine w/o it plugged in. For some reason the signal output is 12v. I thought it was a bad MAF, so I tried another, and another, and then one more. So I figure I can't have 4 bad MAFs in a row. They all did the same thing, they show 12v when plugged in. It drops to zero when unplugged, so I don't think it's a short in the wiring.

I've tried another ecu also. The wiring harness was in my other car and worked fine. The only thing I changed was the mafs plug. I switched from a Z32 back to stock RB. I've checked the wiring a dozen times. If you're looking into the mafs, the order should be power-signal-ground, correct? I'm pulling my hair out, any ideas?

I tried hooking it up that way and got the same result. It's the same no matter how I hook it up. Tomorrow I'm going to check the wires and maybe hardwire it straight to the ecu and see if that helps

My series II RB25 did the same thing, i had no ground at the plug, the ground burned out at the ecu. I cut the groundwire at the MAF and grounded it to the boost solonoid bolt and it was fine. Check the continuity (spelling?) of the ground at the MAF plug. It's something you can try?

well this turned out to be the problem. I ran a separate ground and it's fine now. thanks
