MAF volt

i was measuring my maf volt to c if it good.the B/W wire is 12v like it should but the white wire (signal wire) is only .87v when it should be 5v. and the reason im testing my maf is cuz im not sure if it in limp mode or i have a bad maf. why do i think it in limp mode or i have a bad maf u ask cuz i cant rev over 2400rpm, car running super rich. i fix why it was running rich btw cuz of my tps. but im not sure why i cant rev over 2400rpm if anyone can help with this. ill really appreciate it

Get yourself some MAF cleaner and spray down the MAF wire. Let it dry before you put it back on. See if that helps, you may just need a new MAF.

I clean it and then retest it and nu dice. still not working. i wonder if it has a bad ground to cause the white wire volt to be so low. im going to look over my wiring today and search the forum if something like this has happen before. thank you for the reply ka24

Just unplug the MAF. The MAP is a back up. If you cars runs better without the MAF than you need to replace that.
