only way to truely tell if the MAF is bad is to swap on a new one.

I spot bad MAF by viewing a chart and graph of the MAF voltage vs WOT rpm and comparing it to a chart of a good MAF of course correcting the numbers for ambient temperature.
I have a special place where I can easily measure 3500>redline.
The changes are not dramatic as 0.2 volt is significant at 4.34 volts.
The ecu follows the MAF as long as the reported voltage makes sense and is within +- 20% of what is expected for rpm and load.
Not cut and dry but it gives me a feel before I order a new MAF from dealer.
I have a special place where I can easily measure 3500>redline.

I think this is gonna be a trial and error process, since I don't have all the diagnostic things I need in the garage and I can't risk driving all over. This is crazy since all the problems my Q is having are pointing to a couple of problems. I'll keep posting up with my progress. MAF is on the way so I'll do the clip at the same time. I think the alt will be last.

Yeah it should as long as the 95 MAF has the same connector.
