Yeah if you put a Maf in the combustion chambers it just might cause a no start.

haha.. no man i bought a super clen s14 and it started popping and spitting and then died on me.. a buddy told me it may be the maf.

The Maf being bad?Yeah it could cause sputtering and very bad idle.

The ECU would probably panic and enter limp mode if the Maf was completely f***ed.

Clean the MAFS and make sure its wired correctly and try again.

If the problem still persists, get a known working MAFS and plug it to the engine and see the results.Once you have verified that it is or isnt the MAFS causing the problem troubleshoot the next item.

MAF will still let the car start but not go over 2500rpm. Run REALLY rich. Gassy smell. I doubt what happened to your car is a maf problem.

ok well will it keep it from starting? it seems like it wants to start just wont.. it will hit then just go back to turning over. its killing me.. any idea? it threw one code and it was air intake temp sensor. replaced and still nothing

Check the basics. Air, Fuel, Spark, timing, connections
